National Water Monitoring Day 2002
Activities in New Jersey

October 18, 2002

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the enactment of the Clean Water Act, the U.S. Geological Survey, New Jersey District, along with the Delaware River Basin Commission and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, conducted live demonstrations of various sampling techniques.

Informational posters were exhibited to complement the live demonstrations. Pamphlets and other items also were available to visitors at the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park. Personnel from all the contributing agencies were on hand to answer questions posed by students and the public.
